Gothenburg Open Day, ET Now

'A recent open day at Gothenburg City Theatre (Göteborg Stadsteater) provided Queen’s Award winners Stage Technologies with the opportunity to demonstrate to invited theatre consultants their electrical, electronic control and mechanical systems installation following its successful first full season in operation. The work included the replacement of the existing counterweight system, installed in 1934 when the theatre first opened, with a new power flying system. The order was placed in October 2001 and was completed by July 2002. The system employed uses integrated drive/controllers (Maxis ID) incorporating equipment supplied by Siemens and represents the latest in drive/control architecture. In addition to its impressive functionalistic thirties architecture, the 600-seat theatre, situated on Götsplatsen, is noted for its original 1930s stage machinery...'
