Illusionist is the latest console product from Stage Technologies.
New for 2005, Illusionist is a flexible entry level console. A good
choice for smaller systems in high schools and professional theatre,
Illusionist retains the ability to alter the speed of a cue during
playback, while providing all the features of the base level Chameleon
software.
Chameleon, our common platform used across our range of consoles, gives
the ability to programme multiple shows, plot using speed or time,
and to use both metric and imperial units. It is possible to add software
modules to provide functionality for Complex Groups, Visual Creator
and offline editing on a stand alone PC or laptop, thus extending
the use into technical and production offices.
Straightforward access to common operations is made from the keyboard
rather than a touch screen or mouse.

Illusionist provides features normally only found on larger consoles,
at an entry level price. Typically Illusionist will be used in systems
with up to 30 axes, but may be used in larger systems if the programming
and operating demands are not complex.
The console has 3 playbacks, with a fold down LCD screen. The console
may be rack mounted or used in a conventional stand alone manner.
Illusionist stores configuration and show data internally on a hard
drive. Backups may be made using the internal CDRW or a USB key.
The software tool, Visual Creator, is also available as an add-on
to further extend the sophistication allowing 1, 2 and 3D motion profiles
to be plotted and previewed with ease, making the plotting of complicated
arcs with speed variation a straightforward process for the user.
