The Göteborgs Stadsteater upgraded their manual flying system with an automated power flying system in 2002. Their existing manual system was over 70 years old.
In 2004, Stage Technologies was asked to return to the Stadsteater and upgrade the control for stage elevators and revolves that were originally installed in 1934.
In 2005 and 2006, Stage Technologies installed a control system, winches and point hoists in the studio theatre. The control system was needed to replace an existing installation that was no longer technically supported. The new equipment was designed so that it could be moved through very restricted access and then assembled in the small roof space of the historic listed building. The Nomad was configured to be completely interchangeable with the main house system to offer further flexibility between the theatre’s venues for complex shows.
Additional drive cabinets were ordered and installed in 2009, along with control points and drive outlets on the revolve and stage. Support services and training were also provided during this 7-year period since 2002 and continue to be of great benefit to the Stadsteater technical team.
