LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) has been in place since 1998 in the UK and aims to reduce health and safety risks relating to lifting equipment and operations at work. LOLER governs how lifting equipment should be used in workplaces (including the stage environment) and also details maintenance and inspection requirements, such as the implementation of record keeping. More stringent assessment regimes are necessary for any equipment that is used to lift or lower people for performer flying or to access equipment.
Our support engineers can develop inspection programmes and documentation in line with LOLER requirements and can also develop strategies that apply to local regulations for customers outside the UK.
