ABTT a success
The 31st ABTT Theatre Show was a great success this year with a strong turn out despite the tube strike action preventing many from reaching the Royal Horticultural Halls. The show achieved another packed house of 100 exhibitors, including numerous first-time subscribers as well as a presence from the ABTT’s usual supporters.
Roger Fox, the show’s organiser was quoted as saying that while pre-registration figures were up 10% on last year, there was only a 15% decline compared to 2008 visitor attendance levels. These robust figures demonstrate that the show is going from strength to strength, even in the current sluggish economic climate, and continues to be a red letter day in the calendar of industry events.
Stage Technologies showcased the new Acrobat∙G6 and eChameleon software, as well as the F:light lighting and automation synchronisation software and the latest generation Nomad and Solo theatre control desks. The ABTT provides us with a great opportunity to meet up with friends and colleagues and we look forward to exhibiting again next year when the Theatre Show will once again coincide with the four-yearly Theatre Engineering and Architecture conference.
