The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD) has the reputation of being one of the finest and most forward-thinking theatre colleges in the UK, offering programmes in diverse subjects including drama and music, technical and production arts, and digital film and television.
The RSAMD was the very first education venue in the UK to purchase a power-flying system solely for the purpose of training and for use with specific automation modules integrated into their curriculum. With an Illusionist control desk on their fly floor and 28 computers in their PC lab running Chameleon software, the RSAMD are pioneering the way by offering their students offline training on a virtual flying system in addition to a real system to operate in their theatre.
Our training team worked with the RSAMD to develop an online learning environment for the students, enabling them to create a user-generated manual for their installation and to informally converse with and learn from automation engineers.
