The Royal Opera House is one of England's most loved venues and hosts around 295 performances on the main stage every year, including productions from the Royal Ballet and visiting companies. A powerful stage automation system enables the backstage staff to make fast, smooth scenery changeovers.
Stage Technologies and the Royal Opera House have a long history together: during the 1998/1999 renovations, Stage Technologies installed a 214-axis power flying system with Nomad desk control in the main auditorium (one of the world's largest and most ambitious theatre automation systems at the time) along with a 30-axis power flying system in the Linbury Theatre.
Since then we've supplied countless additional rentals for touring productions with specific requirements as well as regular maintenance and fine tuning to help the technical department to run their busy schedule at maximum efficiency.
